WARD DEEP CLEAN

IED were the successful bidder on an open
tender process for the initial refurbishment

project and due to performance were invited
to negotiate subsequent phases. The wards
were handed over with vacant possession,
but access & egress for operatives &

materials had to be gained through the

fully functional hospital.

The works consisted:

Internal demolition & strip out of
existing finishes, fixtures & fittings

Extensive plaster repairs to Upgrade existing wards to meet new clinical standards criteria

existing walls

Installation of new bespoke clinical
wash basins & sluice facilities on

purpose made IPS panels

Repair / replace doors & frames as
necessary

Supply & install new HTM64
compliant worktops & units to
amenity rooms & nurse stations

Install new door & wall protection

Installation of new vinyl / non slip

vinyl flooring throughout.

Dry lining of existing walls

Complete decoration throughout.

Reinstate all Client fixtures & fittings

IED worked closely with the deep clean
team to ensure partial handovers took

place when necessary to ensure continuity
of work and to achieve target dates for

re-opening the wards for patient occupation.
