AVRENIM HYDROTHERAPY – ROYAL LIVERPOOL UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

The works consisted of, but were not limited to:

Electrical Lighting & Power, Data, Fire, Earthing & Bonding, Mains Distribution, Mechanical, Ventilation and All Building Works relating to the Floors, Partitions, Ceiling and All Sub Mains to include all testing and commissioning. The Programme was a 10 Week Turn round to Strip out all, lighting & Power, Floors, ceilings, all Mechanical Ductwork and Vent, including all domestic Hot and Cold Water Pipework then removal and dispose away from site whilst working through live offices and Corridors. IED re-wired the Lighting in Power changed all Office data and Corridor Lighting and tested on Completion. The project was delivered on time in accordance with the Contract Programme.

Huyton Library Decarbonisation Upgrade – Knowsley Council

The Programme was a 12 Weeks Turn round relating to new council funding to upgrade the carbon foot print as a trail across 3 nr existing sites, namely Huyton Library, River Alt Recourse Centre RARC & the National Wildflower Park Court hey Huyton. All IED Sub Contractors & Operatives completed DBS Assessments to work within the Library as the Building maintained their events schedule whilst remaining open to the General Public. 

The Council entrusted IED to Carry out the Load Assessments for each building to commence with the design and coordination to Upgrade the Buildings to achieve the maximum carbon efficiency to each building this in turn impacted on 3 systems:-

  • Electrical Lighting LED Upgrade
  • Mechanical Heating system to incorporate both Air Source Heating & New Radiators
  • New Photovoltaic Roof Panels

We coordinated directly with the Council Design Teams for:- 

  • Mech Drain down & System field modifications for the current heating system and new Mechanical Design
  • BMS and Trace Heating Controls for the Heating system
  • Electrical Break in and Testing to integrate the existing lighting control system to a new “self-Test” system
  • Internal Earthing assessments at the origin for Bonding for the new PV connected back to the original earthing for energy transfer
  • All Framework & Load Assessments of the Roof at the Library and Design Coordination for the PV panels and field containment, again with agreed Client design
  • DNO Direct Network Operator Application direct for our client for the PV Generation
  • Lifting & Traffic Management of the local area
  • Asbestos Assessments and disposal of the existing systems in conjunction with Council

Our Works Consisted to Modernise the new State of the Art Emergency Department Theatres, all works were carried out within a live hospital with all interfacing scheduled to critical dates to maintain full operation of the hospital, we worked closely with the designers and all trades to coordinate our works in a very fast moving project, we completed on time and in line with the NHS programme of 24 Weeks Turn round for 1st Floor New ED Theatres and Roof Plantroom Electrical Installation.

Captain Sir Tom Moore Building

I.E.D. successfully completed this project at Halton Hospital – The Captain Sir Tom Moor Building Breast Screening Unit – Project Delivered on time in accordance with the Contract Programme. The Programme was a 10 Week Turn round to Modify and expand the existing system to include lighting & Power, and all Life Safety System whilst working within the Hospital, the ward amendments were phased to hand back the use of each area due to the nation demand and to retain all procedures and Breast Screening appointments, also to provide cutting edge X-Ray Facilities, whilst creating patient care units designed for the comfort during their appointments. The Tom Moore was named after the late Sir Tom Moore, was a prestige NHS change to the Halton Hospital, that will impact on all North West Breast Screening for all Women.
