Liverpool John Moores Student Classroom Co2 Detectors

We had the electrical Power & Data plus the Installation & Commissioning of 250 Co2 Detectors, which to IED are now entrusted by request of the University to roll out across the entire campuses.

The Programme was a 1 Week Turn round for the 1st of 3 buildings to 25 Student Classrooms whilst working through live offices and Corridors for 25 Detectors, we then received a fresh updated order for a further 25 Detectors, which we also turned round within 5 days, of the back of the success of 50 Detectors, we have now received an order for a further 200 detectors.

Captain Sir Tom Moore Building

I.E.D. successfully completed this project at Halton Hospital – The Captain Sir Tom Moor Building Breast Screening Unit – Project Delivered on time in accordance with the Contract Programme. The Programme was a 10 Week Turn round to Modify and expand the existing system to include lighting & Power, and all Life Safety System whilst working within the Hospital, the ward amendments were phased to hand back the use of each area due to the nation demand and to retain all procedures and Breast Screening appointments, also to provide cutting edge X-Ray Facilities, whilst creating patient care units designed for the comfort during their appointments. The Tom Moore was named after the late Sir Tom Moore, was a prestige NHS change to the Halton Hospital, that will impact on all North West Breast Screening for all Women.

Halton Hospital Endoscopy

John Turners Hospital Building Refurbishment Project within Halton Hospital – The project was delivered on time in accordance with the Contract Programme. IED Disciplines Electrical Lighting & Power, Data, Nurse Call, UPS/IPS, Fire, Earthing & Bonding, Mains Distribution, Lightning Protection and All Sub Mains to the AHU to include all testing and commissioning.

The Programme was a 16 Week Turn round to Strip out all, lighting & Power, Floors, perimeter Benches containing Gas and Water, then removal of all Lab equipment dispose away from site whilst working through live offices and Corridors.

We re-wired the Lighting in Power changed all Office data and Corridor Lighting and tested on Completion.

The works consisted of:

We had the electrical Lighting & Power, CCTV, Fire, Access Control, Induction Loop, Intruder Alarm & Data Packages.

The Programme was a 39 Week Turn round to Refurbish the Original Ward to create a Bespoke new Birthing Pools an NHS project now rolled out to all sectors up and down the UK which working through live offices and Corridors.

We delivered the project on programme, which has now become a figure head for Birthing Technology, with a new “Starlight Lighting” introduced as part of the Design/Client Requirements please refer to the Video Link:

CLATTERBRIDGE CANCER CENTRE NHS

We had the electrical & life Safety Package to wire and install a “Link Bridge” from the new Clatterbridge Cancer Hospital to the Existing Royal Liverpool Hospital for the Use of transporting Beds through the Hospital.

Our IED Principles were a new Electrical Sub Main fed from the Clatterbridge Main Plant Room to supply a Distribution Board Mounted in the Clatterbridge Link Bridge Main Entrance to supply the Link Bridge Lighting, Power and Heating System all surface mounted, we also installed a new Access Control system to couple to the CCTV Existing System.

This project had a value of £270,000 and was completed in December 2020.

We had the electrical Lighting & Power, Flooring, Decorations and Finishes, Joinery, Data Packages.

The Programme was a 4 Week Turn round to Strip out 40 Offices, of all Decorations, lighting & Power, Floors, perimeter Benches containing Gas and Water, then removal of all Lab equipment dispose away from site whilst working through live offices and Corridors.

We re-decorated all 40 rooms painting the Ceilings, re-lay the Floor and re-wired the Lighting in Power changed all Office data and Corridor Lighting and tested on Completion.

The works consisted of:

  • New Painting

The project was valued at 1.5 Million, the project turnaround was 40 weeks delivered on time, the Building Delivery and use is to be used for Copper & Mineral Annalistic Testing.

Our Client Alfred H Knight are specialists in Copper Mining and pride themselves on the land mining and testing to source, test & Value through land sea and air all landfill metals and minerals, they provide a service to its valued customers primarily Copper landfill, and offer a service to value and transport the mineral to ensure its value for re-sale and use to a worldwide clientele base, IED were the Main Contractor responsible for all Building Services relating to:-

  • Ground Works & Slab Installation for the PH Plant,
  • All External Cladding & Insulation to the existing superstructure,
  • Internal and External Brick and Blockworks,

EVERTON FC – FINCH FARM TRAINING FACILITY

NEW 1MVA SUB-STATION AND NEW LV SWITCH ROOM

Finch Farm is the main training facility for Everton Football club in Merseyside. It also incorporates other facilities such as an education centre, media centre and various football pitches/training pitches.

The existing sub-station was at capacity and to facilitate future expansion plans a new 1Mva sub-station and LV switch room were required. This project incorporates the work required in relation to diverting existing cables and protecting other live services along the footpath where the new substation is being constructed.

The Scope of the Contract is to undertake the concurrent disconnection of various existing SWA cables from the existing switch panel, jointing and reconnecting to the new switch panel in the new client owned LV switch room. The fundamental to the success of the scheme was to ensure that downtime to the facility was minimised at all times.

The works consisted of:

  • 1000A LV Switch Panel
  • Cable Jointing
  • Lighting
  • Power
  • Fire Alarm

The works were completed in February 2020

Avrenim – Broadgreen Hospital, Alexandra Wing, Ward 7

Completed in January 2020 the project was to completely refurbish the existing ward and upgrade the facilities to create additional bed spaces which included structural alterations, electrical re-fit, new LED lighting, new flooring and suspended ceilings. Works within selected adjacent areas of Ward 7 remained occupied and in use whilst refurbishment works were in progress. The works consisted of:
